Today, we lost a great philosopher, novelist, and academician in Umberto Eco.

He is best known for two novels, The Name of the Rose which is the the subject of this blog about the subversive nature of humor.

His other well known novel, Foucoult’s Pendulum is like “the thinking man’s DaVinci Code.”
