Truly, the best argument against my Stem Cell Theory of Aging (since every Axiom in it is completely standard scientific orthodoxy) is that “it couldn’t be that simple because the best efforts of scientists have been looking elsewhere.”
I had an typical call from a patient today that went something like this:
J.A. – “I”ve reviewed all the experts from Dr. Dave, Mike Fossel, and Aubrey DeGrey and it seems you have the clearest, simplest theory. So why don’t people believe it?”
Me- “Well most people don’t trust their ability to assess these things so they go with authorities, like Oprah and Dr. Oz”
From the outset of his two year course of taking TA-65 at 4 capsules nightly, “Satoshi” (a pseudonym) began feeling healthy, his hair grew stronger, he began to dream vividly. His energy was through the roof and he never got the colds and flus that he used to. Even more interestingly, he grew about an inch in his inseam and his posture and scoliosis improved. As an anti-aging physician, I feel I should keep my car alive even though it has so many mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic problems; but as a consumer, I feel that keeping it for an eighth year is nostalgia and frugality gone awry. But as I write about in my book, “Telomere Timebombs”, there are some, like Irv Gordon, who can keep their cars running for 3 Million miles:
